A brief history

  Gulbarga which was known as Kalburgi earlier,  was the capital of the Bahamani Kingdom which ruled this region. The city has historic and glorious part and also has an emmense tourist and recreation potential in the form of Mahaboob Guslshan  (Public Gardens). Shri. Sharanabashwara Tank and the Bahamani Fort. apart from the major religious centers of Shri. Sharanabashwara Temple and the Khaja Banda Nawaz Dargah.

The Gulbarga is an Historical place having  Sharanabashwara    Temple and the Khaja Banda Nawaz Darga where lakhs of piligrims visit for Jatra and Urs every year.











 Fort:
Gulbarga was the capital of the  Bahamani Kingdom which ruled this region. The Gulbarga Fort built by Bahamani's is a
 famous monument attracting large  number  of tourists.





           

How to Reach

By Air: Hyderabad Airport is the Nearest Airport to Gulbarga City. which is 225kms  from the city.

By TrainGulbarga city has  a Central Southern Railway Station.  There are  Daily trains  from Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad to this city 

By Bus: There are frequent  buses from Bangalore and Hyderabad to this city. They are 610 and 225 kms away from Gulbarga respectively.
